Olive grew up outside Madison, WI, tagging along to campout folk and bluegrass festivals with her parents — the kind of upbringing that gets into your bones whether you plan it or not. Now based in San Francisco, she writes what she calls alternative folk, music rooted in that midwestern earnestness but shaped by everything the city has thrown at her since. She's equally at home on a bar stage or a busy street corner, and there's nothing she loves more than catching someone mid-rush and giving them a reason to stop. Olive frequently co-writes with musician and producer Romzoni, and her music — including a digitized cassette EP and a growing catalog of singles — is available on all streaming platforms.
